The call that starts the record

A material request enters the TCS Truck Calling System the moment someone on the floor needs something moved. That can be a button press, a barcode scan, a touchscreen tap, or a direct feed from the MES. The system turns the request into a work order and holds it open until a driver takes it. From that first action the platform begins to store the identity of the requester and the exact material or load that was asked for.

Nothing is left as a radio message or a sticky note. The request itself becomes the first permanent entry in the dispatch trail.

Acceptance locks the next set of facts

When a driver accepts the work order the system writes four pieces of information at once: who needed the material, which driver took the job, the driver’s position at the second of acceptance, and the precise timestamp. Those four fields are fixed and cannot be altered later. The acceptance moment is the hinge between “someone asked” and “someone is moving.”

After acceptance the work order is no longer floating; it is bound to a named person and a location inside the plant.

Route, duration and distance while the move is under way

Once the driver is under way the platform continues to capture the path actually driven, the total time from acceptance to completion, and the distance covered. These values are added to the same record that already holds the original request and the acceptance data. The route is not a planned line on a map; it is the sequence of positions the vehicle occupied while the task was open.

At the end of the move the system therefore holds a continuous chain: request identity, acceptance identity and location, actual path, elapsed time, and distance.

The complete dispatch record after the material arrives

When the load is delivered the full set is already closed and available. An engineer can open the record and see, in order, who raised the need, who accepted it, where that acceptance happened, the route that followed, how long the whole sequence took, and how far the vehicle travelled. No reconstruction from memory or radio logs is required. The data sits in the same structured form for every completed call.

That single closed record is the unit of traceability the system produces for material movement.

Reading many closed records together

Because every finished call leaves the same fields, the collection of records can be examined side by side. The set shows the actual history of material movement on a shift or across several shifts rather than the list of planned moves. Engineers can look at the recorded acceptance times, routes and durations without having to reconstruct events from separate systems or verbal reports. The TCS simply keeps the trail that was generated while the moves themselves were happening.
